Hello, this is Said K. Al Musharfi, Director of Tourism Product Development at Oman’s Ministry of Tourism and a member in the Conference Organizing Committee.
I was fortunate to attend the 1st and 2nd Global Geo-tourism Conferences as a key note speaker, and this proved to be a valuable opportunity to learn from others about tourism, understand the dynamics and values of geotourism strategies, and to introduce the Sultanate’s beauty to a new audience.
The high level of quality internationally participation at these conferences was inspirational and pointed to new concepts and opportunities for many destinations, such as the geopark proposal.
I would like to personally encourage to consider joining us at the 3rd Global Geotourism Conference in Muscat. It will be an enriching professional experience and give a valuable opportunity for the Ministry of Tourism to showcase Oman’s beauty and breath-taking landscapes. The Ministry is also looking to expand its network of geotourism expertise and we welcome the involvement of relevant companies.
To encourage international participation, the Oman’s Ministry of Tourism has generously offered to host the Conference including registration and field excursion fees.
